Hi, I’m Valerio, originally from Naples, where food means authenticity, quality, and tradition.
After moving to the Netherlands, I realized how hard it was to find real Italian products made in the right way. Through market research and conversations with cafés and restaurants, it became clear that many were looking for the same thing: authentic Italian flavors they could trust.
So, together with a friend and now business partner, we founded Buongusto to bring real Italian pastries directly to our partners.
Today, I help cafés and restaurants in selecting the right products and build reliable and transparent collaborations.
Because real Italian flavor deserves to be experienced exactly as it is!

Hi, I`m Matteo and, while Valerio is based in the Netherlands, I remained in Italy, and this is exaclty where our added value comes from.
Being here allows me to stay close to the bakeries and suppliers we work with, meet them in person, and understand how their products are made.
As Logistic and Purchase Manager, I select the producers, evaluate ingredients and production methods, and make sure we collaborate only with partners who share our standards of authenticity and consistency.
My role is to ensure that every product we offer is truly Italian in origin, in taste, and in how it’s made, from the first production steps all the way to delivery.
Because staying close to the source is how we protect the real flavor
